Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress who hails from Manama, Bahrain and was born into a multi-ethnic household. The father of Jacqueline, Elroy Fernandez is from Sri Lanka. There are two brothers younger than her as well as an older sister. Because of the turmoil in Lanka, her parents relocated to Bahrain in the early 1980s. In Australia, she studied Media and Communications at University of Sydney after graduating from Bahrain. With a love of the world of languages and cultures, she took part in the Berlitz school of languages in which she was able to learn Spanish and improve her French as well as Arabic. In addition, she was crowned Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6, 2006 and participated in Miss Universe 2006. Padukone was the daughter of badminton champ Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew her life in Bangalore, but she is a native of Copenhagen. She was a badminton player at the national championships when she was a teenager but gave her sporting career in order to become a model. Padukone comes from Mangalore and her mother language is Konkani. Her ancestors hail from the town of Padukone in Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state in India. Prakash Padukone was a badminton legend before retiring in the late 1980s. Her mother, a travel agent, is also from this area.
